New Varieties Showcase

The annuals, perennials, grasses, shrubs, vines and trees featured in the 2010 New Varieties Showcase are presented in a professionally designed display garden on the Farwest Show floor, Aug. 26-28. It's an exceptional opportunity to view the plants in a landscape setting and find nurseries offering the plants for sale. Interested buyers can place orders for fall 2010 or spring 2011 delivery or contact the appropriate companies using the contact information provided in these pages.

The showcase entry requirements state that the plant be either new to the market or previously available only in limited quantities; offer unique characteristics that distinguish it from other introductions; and be offered for sale by a Farwest Show exhibitor. Entries were vetted by a selection committee before being accepted into the showcase.

New Varieties Showcase

Sponsored By Macore

Plants are seductive. And the best of them, those selected for the 2010 New Varieties Showcase, are more seductive than most. All they need is to flaunt their velvety blossoms, feathery or boldly striped foliage, improved performance, new form, easier care and increased hardiness. Whatever your interest, be it annuals, perennials, ornamental grasses, shrubs or trees, you will find a prize to consider for you and your customers.

The Showcase is a collaboration between breeders, growers, a team of designers and contractors from the Association of Northwest Landscape Designers (ANLD), Willamette Graystone Inc., Northwest artists Patrick Gracewood and Ross Montana, Farwest Show exhibitors, Phillips' Soil Products Inc., and the Oregon Association of Nurseries (OAN).
