2011 New Varieties Showcase Winners
These new plants captured the attention and appreciation of the 2011 New Varieties Showcase judges:

What new plants will be all the rage with the home gardener? Which will grow faster and easier for the grower? Or will perform in containers and in the increasingly popular drought-tolerant garden? And which will play well with other plants in the landscape? The 51 varieties in this year's Farwest Show New Varieties Showcase were selected because they appealed to the diverse interests of the selection committee, which was comprised of growers, landscape designers, a retailer and a garden writer.
This year, the plants will be displayed in a garden-center-like setting, with merchandising ideas for the retailer. The take-it-with-you tags from Macore offer all the vital plant statistics, including Farwest Show booth numbers for the growers and/or breeders.
